As part of our ongoing commitment to customer satisfaction, R&W works collaboratively to align strategic processes to those of our key clients.

We were the first team within our industry to be awarded collaboration standard BS 11000 with Kier, our partners in the Highways England Area 3 supply chain.

The R&W Way encourages all staff to respect and care for each other as well as our customers and other supply chain members.  This means we are open and honest; we price our schemes fairly and reasonably; we keep our promises; we treat our supply chain partners and suppliers fairly; and we pay our invoices on time.  The R&W Way provides a commitment to “always deliver” to the desired standard.  We pride ourselves on completing our projects on-time and to budget.  Early Contractor Involvment (ECI) and value engineering means that we often save our customers time and money and introduce innovative solutions that improve end results.

 

Specific initiatives include:

 

  • Achieving BS1100 Collaboration accreditation with Kier Strategic Highways Area 3 Supply Chain
  • Utilising “Waste Accountant” for ease of waste reporting. Adoption of this software was a first by R&W under a HE Area Contract
  • Using “Causeway”, a software package for accounting and project cost control
  • Carbon reporting
  • Undertaking 360 degree reviews with our key supply chain partners
  • Seeking feedback on projects and levels of service
  • Collaborating with clients and other partners to create additional synergies and efficiencies in our supply chain
  • Actively participating in client supply chain events
  • Presenting at main contractor and their clients’ Health and Safety events
  • Providing recycling figures to help with KPIs and applications for Carbon Trust awards
  • Chairing and leading various supply chain committees and boards
